Jaime Franklin (born December 27, 1975) is a figure competitor from the United States.

Jaime Franklin was born in Glen Dale, and grew up in Cameron in a small town in West Virginia. There in a small farm Jaime spent her days helping her family with the duties of the house. While growing up Franklin became a very active young woman; her parents were very active themselves and made sure her daughter would follow through their footsteps. From the beginning Jaime was surrounded in an athletic environment; her parents put her on gymnastics in order for her to use all her natural childhood energy in something productive. And while she enjoyed gymnastics and competing in the field, most her competitiveness came from practicing wrestling moves with her brother, Eric who on two occasions broke her arm. But this did not discourage Jaime who continued to practice wrestling moves with her brother and soon learned to defend herself.

As Jaime became older she became more serious about competing in gymnastics, but due to multiple injuries she was unable to compete and at the age of thirteen began to focus on started playing school sports. In school her best sport was track and field were in high school she set several records, including two Ohio Valley Athletic Conference track records for high hurdles and long jumps that are still standing to this day. Her athletic abilities helped Fraklin helped earned an athletic scholarship to go to the Naval Academy in Maryland. After attending Naval Academy for three months, she left to West Virginia University in Morgantown where she majored in industrial and management systems and graduated summa cum laude.

A few years after graduation Franklin was on demand, she was traveling five days a week, working as a computer consultant and giving gymnastic lessons on the weekends. During a gymnastic session she tore her ACL and had to lay off traveling. With little to do she spent her time weight training in the gym. Soon many people were complitmenting her physique and encouraged her to compete. Jaime decided to give it a world after seeing her first fitness contest. Originally she was training to compete in fitness, but due to her injury decided to go to figure competitions. Her first competition was NPC Natural Northern Figure Competition where she took the overall. She continued to compete and within four months earned her pro card.

Franklin continued to compete regularly until recently she pulled from competing in 2005 due problems with old injuries from her gymnastic days: two herniated disks in her neck, bursitis, tendinitis kept from competing in the Arnold Classic and limited her training regimen. More recently returned to computer consulting, gave birth to her first child, and continues to train in her home outside of Columbus in Pickerington, Ohio with her husband Ted.

Davana Medina is a professional figure competitor from the United States. To Medina is the most successful figure competitor in the short history of the sport, winning the first three Figure Olympia titles to date.

Davana was born on January 28, 1974 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She entered and won her first figure competition, the NPC Bev Francis Atlantic States, one week after getting married.

With the support of her husband and friends Davana decided to dedicate eight weeks to her first show. She geared her training and dieting to a consistent program to get in the best shape of her life for the show. After winning her first show Davana decided to turn professional. Sadly her marriage did not last.

Davana turned professional after winning the first NPC Figure Nationals in 2001. However, there were no professional figure contests until 2003, so she was forced to take a year off from competition. She has been the most successful woman in figure competition, winning the first three Figure Olympias to date. Recently Davana has remarried and was set to compete in the 2006 Ms. Figure Olympia, but due to health problems she was unable to defend her title. This was meant to be her last competition as Medina had stated her desire to retire from competition to start a family with her husband. Her sponsors released a statement through her website saying:

"Davana did not compete at the 2006 IFBB Figure Olympia to defend her title for a 4th consecutive time as a medical issue came up on Monday, September 25 and she was not able to compete. This was supposed to be her last show but she is undecided whether or not she will get back on stage to compete."*

Medina's training consists of simple compound movements with mostly free weights (she rarely uses cable exercises); she also rarely uses machines. She typically trains 6 days a week in the off-season (usually two body parts per day off-season, and only one body part per day on-season).

Fitness Competitor: Kelly Ryan

Kelly Ryan (b. July 10, 1972 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is a IFBB professional fitness competitor.

Kelly Ryan got an early start in her fitness career when, at age eight, she began to train in gymnastics. This would later serve as a foundation for other athletic activities she would become involved with in high school, such as cheerleading and basketball. After high school Kelly decided to pursue journalism at the University of South Carolina. While studying for her degree in journalism she also worked as a choreographer, which would prove very useful in her decision to become a top fitness athlete. Her first fitness competition was the NPC South Carolina State in 1995, where she placed first.

She would eventually end up winning eight fitness competitions. Her background and presence in fitness contests have made her a familiar face at fitness expositions as well as in fitness magazines.

Married to body builder, Craig Titus.

The couple are awaiting trial in Nevada on charges in the murder of their live-in assistant, Melissa James. James was alleged to have had an affair with Titus. Titus and Ryan are being tried together in the case scheduled to go to court in January of 2007. A prosecutor alleged in open court that Titus was part of a plot to murder three witnesses due to testify in the case. No charges have been filed and Titus’ defense lawyer says he doesn’t think that there is enough evidence for charges in the allegation.

The trial of co-defendant Anthony Gross on arson and accessory to murder charges was separated from the murder trial for Titus and Ryan.

Fitness instructor and competitor - Carol Semple-Marzetta
Carol Semple-Marzetta (born February 23, 1966) is a fitness instructor and competitor. In regional and national competitions, she has won 13 medals.

Carol began gymnastics training at the age of 10. Her dream was to compete in Olympics gymnastics events. This, along with the financial burden associated with training, ended her dream of Olympic competition. The severe injuries she suffered in an auto accident on May 23, 1983 meant she had to give up gymnastics entirely.

She worked as a fitness instructor at a local spa during her 20s. While training there, she became aware of the Ms. National Fitness competition. After winning first or second place in various contests, in 1999 she made a career out of providing advice on training regimens and dietary supplements. She won both rounds and decided that she had the potential for fitness and figure career.

International Fitness and Swimsuit model Carmen Garcia

Vital Stats: 34D-24-35
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 120lbs.
Eyes: Light Brown
Hair: Brown

International Fitness and Swimsuit model Carmen Garcia was born on the beautiful Caribbean Island of Havana, Cuba. She left the island with her parents at a mere 8 months and resided in Spain for a few years before she ended up in Miami, Florida with her family.
Carmen was raised in Miami throughout her childhood and teen years. When she graduated high school, she moved to the hip South Beach area and managed a Brazilian bikini shop on South Beach where she learned Portuguese. But that was not enough for the young aspiring model and photographer. She wanted to venture to the either side of the coast, California! Carmen spent several years in San Diego while she surfed, worked and attended college for photography, fashion and business. Carmen also assisted a photographer on the side for the experience in the modeling industry.

Aspiring to become a freelance photographer and designing her own clothing line were only a few of Carmen's passions. She believes that all of her career choices all "tie in together". She'd given up on modeling years ago since South Beach only promoted tall and "waify" fashion models.

A few years after living in a mellow beach town like San Diego, Carmen decided to give Los Angeles a try into personal training and other passions. Carmen says, "I'd given up on modeling years ago because I wasn't tall or thin enough and I need a faster paced lifestyle like L.A.". When the determined Latin model moved to Los Angeles, she found a new chapter in her life that was about to unfold. She picked up a fitness magazine and saw a very shapely and toned physique on the cover. Seeing this type of cover model inspired Carmen to hit the gym even though she was already in shape, and she pursued fitness modeling as a career. Carmen found her niche as a fitness and swimsuit model so she began test shooting with local photographers as well as networking on her own. Her web site www.carmengarcia.com was built in the year 2000. The site has really helped Carmen gain an online presence that has lead to more work in other media like TV.

It wasn't long before Carmen appeared on covers of well known magazines, music videos for bands like Sugar Ray and gracing the pages of Musclemag International, Just Swimsuits, Planet Muscle, Low Rider, Hot Boats, Oye magazine, Muscular Development, Ironman and more! She's made many appearances all over the nation and has really worked hard to build her name and brand herself as a popular print model & spokesperson in the fitness industry.

Carmen is a freelance health and fitness writer, competitor, motivator and ISSA certified personal trainer
